Change
Wow. I haven’t felt this good since my wife and I found out we were pregnant. I didn’t even know I felt this strongly until last night. When they announced that Barack Obama was president elect, a smile crept across my face.
Finally.
A change that felt good. A change that felt like it was based on hope and not fear.
And what a speech by McCain last night. I thought it was almost better than Obama’s! Now I didn’t like John McCain 2.0 (you know, the robot model that looked somewhat like the guy that ran back in 2000 accept he was a little less maverick (and by the way, thank goodness we don’t have to hear the word Maverick for a while (unless people start naming their babies Maverick (which wouldn’t surprise me)))), but he seemed to let down his guard the past few days while on SNL and even last night. I think he caught the Al Gore syndrome and that just leads to defeat, I guess. But anyway, what a gracious speech.
Today feels like a new day unlike other new days. Everyone should sit up straight, chins high, because we all made a difference and we now have a president who will help all of us, republican or democrat, change into the nation we need to be.
Lets get to work people!
Sincerely,
Ben
